How far would you go to break a generational curse to embrace generational joy?
Woodbine Ventures’ Documentary Division features Kerra Bolton’s epic quest to learn to swim, dive, and map sunken slave ships in mid-life.
Kerra is a Black American expat who restores her ancestral relationship with the ocean, diving deep into the Atlantic to map sunken slave ships. With a team of Black marine archeologists, she reclaims lost history while rediscovering the strength of her body—one scarred by recent and centuries-old traumas.
But before answering this ancestral calling, she must first conquer her fear of open water and learn to swim.
